I’ve always loved a good smoothie and if you follow me on snapchat (@annawithlove) you’ll know since being pregnant it’s become a part of my every day routine sorry not sorry. I’ve gotten a ton of Q’s asking for my favourite recipe’s so thought I’d share my go-to’s with you today!
A lot of the vitamins I’m supposed to be taking still make me feel queasy so this is my way of making sure I’m getting plenty of ‘good’ foods me and the baby need. I love my Kitchen Aid blender and for quick on the go smoothies I’ll always love my Magic Bullet.
Optional: If I have Kale I’ll toss some in there, sometimes I don’t have pear and that’s okay it still tastes delicious.
ACAI BERRY SMOOTHIE
Acai Berry (from Whole Foods or Longos)
Optional: One tablespoon Chia Seeds
*Stephanie showed me this recipe about a year ago and it instantly became a favourite. She’s always showing me healthy delicious things since she knows how picky I am.
Wild Blueberry or Regular Blueberries
2 Tablespoons Chia Seeds
TIP // I hate throwing away food so I always freeze the ingredients to ensure they don’t go to waste! I’ll buy a huge bag of Spinach or Kale do a light chop and stick in a freezer bag. Same with pineapple, mangos & berries…for some reason I don’t do this often with bananas, we always have bananas around!
